So make sure when you are in a fight that you explode with a flurry of punches, kicks and any other techniques you know. And if you don't have any skills look into a martial arts school to get the techniques you need.

I don't mean be super paranoid but what I do mean is be aware of the people around you. You never know when an act of violence will break out. So while walking down the street, do you notice the two agitated drug addicts? You have to keep your eyes firmly peeled and be constantly aware and on the defense. If your walking with your MP3 player blasting in your ears, turn it down a little bit so you can hear outside around yourself as well.
